- There is level access to the Lecture Theatre from the car park via the Sports Gate. There are spaces for wheelchairs found immediately on entry to the theatre. There are disabled parking spaces just by the Sports Gate.
- Please note the school is a nut and sesame free area and it is requested that products containing these or oils and derivatives from nut or sesame are not opened whilst on the premises.
Parking and Dropping Off
The school has a large car park, although there may be other users on any evening as there are sports facilities in regular use. The parking at the end where the tennis courts are is more convenient for the Sports Gate. (Reach by keeping left after entering the main gate.) After parking, walk towards the building with the curved roof and look for the ATOM flags to guide you.
There is room in front of the building with the curved roof for a brief stop whilst dropping off someone. The flow around this section of the car park is indicated by arrows on the ground.
Travelling to us
Walking from the Town Centre
The walk from the town centre is 20-30 minutes via Faringdon Road which is the continuation of Bath Street on the other side of Stratton Way.
Public Transport
Abingdon does not have a railway station.
There are bus stops on the Faringdon Road outside the school gates. The "44" bus leaves Oxford and comes via Botley to reach Faringdon Road on its way to Abingdon town centre. Same in reverse.

Cycling
Via Faringdon Road out of the town centre.
If travelling by car from the North and Oxford via the A34.
We suggest that you do not come off at the Abingdon North junction – there is a lot of traffic disruption because of the works to that area.
Instead continue down to the Marcham Interchange (Miele is close to the roundabout as well as Fairacres Retail Park – they are both shown on Google maps if you zoom in enough) where the A415 crosses the A34.
From the South via the A34 – also come off at the Marcham Interchange (described above).
Head into Abingdon (first exit if you were travelling southbound; third exit if you were travelling northbound).
You will be moving up the Marcham Road towards Abingdon town centre. There are two roundabouts where you need to head straight across (2nd exit). You will pass McDonalds, the Police Station, the Community Hospital.
At the double mini roundabout outside the White Horse Pub, turn left (1st exit) into Spring Road.
At the end of Spring Road, it meets Faringdon Road at a small roundabout.
For the school car park turn left into Faringdon Road and use the second of the two entrance gates. This is the car park to use if you are a ticket holder, visitor intending to buy a ticket or a craftworker arriving to unload at the venue.
From the M40
If coming from the North come off at Junction 9 and head south on the A34, then follow the directions above.
If coming from the South up the M40, take the A329 across country through Stadhampton, then the A415 through the lights at Clifton Hampden and into Abingdon passing Culham Campus on your right allowing time for the 20 mile an hour zones in all the villages which can make it rather slow. You may find it easier to carry on up to Oxford and use the Eastern By Pass (passing Cowley) to bring you round to the A34. You will then head south and follow the directions above.
From the West
If you are coming from the area to the West of Abingdon, finding Shippon village and then following the Faringdon Road into Abingdon puts you right on the road where the school is and you will see it on your left not long after you have crossed over the bridge over the A34.
